And the week begins...

I have a busy week ahead of me and a long list of to-do's:

1. Begin training. Ever since the LA Marathon, I have not done ANY long distance running. I have done a couple of miles here and there but nothing major. This week starts a slow and, hopefully, painless week of short runs. I received an email from my running coach, David. They need a pace leader for the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in October. I'm considering doing it... I forgot Tamara, my old pace leader, moved to KC recently and had put my name down as a recommendation to take over her place. She's so inspiring --- I hope I can only be as half as good as she is! (Just an F.Y.I.: a pace leader sets the pace for the group during a run. So, they track distance & time.)
2. Create a battle plan for workouts --- I already put in the time to schedule it on paper, now, I have to see if its executable. The workouts will be 5 days of running, 2 days of swimming, 1 day of yoga, and 1 day of spin class. Sounds exhausting, but doable.
3. Put together my sewing machine. I took it out of the box. The goal is to take out all the items, plug it in, and read the manual.
4. Celebrate Karen M.'s birthday! Go Karen!

5. Catching up with some old friends from college and beyond.
6. Try to squeeze in some scrapbook time. I miss it!
