So many milestones this week... makes me happy inside. Especially for this lovely lady:

My cousin, Dawnabelle, graduated from Cal State University, Northridge. Now that's she's done with her B.S. in Nursing, we can be partners in crime again --- scrapbooking, taking pictures, and being crafty. We missed out on it for the past couple of months and I'm glad to be reunited. Feels good...

I scrapbooked last Saturday while Mr. Handy attended a wedding --- GIRLS DAY! It was tons of fun and for me, this was a huge milestone. I completed two layouts AND bonded with my girls! Holler! I'm feeling the urge to carve some more time out for this. It's hard to balance work, working out, family, friends, the boy, and the list goes on... Scrapbooking is important, too, and I lost sight of that for the past year or so. I'm so behind. I'm still working on our Hawaiian vacation scrapbook. We went in 2007. What's wrong with me??? A work in progress, for sure.

I mentioned in a previous post how "thrift" I am. Yes, this remains the case. However! I caved... I bought the beloved camera ---

She's so friggin' awesome! This was a HUGE milestone for me. I have been saving up my hard earned pennies for a "raining day". (We are in a recession, right?) So, this purchase took a lot out of me. And, we're not talking financially. It was a purchase I've been wanting to make... just didn't have the guts to do it. Now, I wish I would've bought it sooner! I've learned to work with aperture and now on to ISO, shutter, etc. Little by little, I'm learning to shoot manual and I'm excited! The pictures have been turning out OK. There's just so much more I want to capture! I had purchased the camera last last week and I was able to play around with it last Sunday. Here's a picture of Ryan at the graduation... working aperture and having fun doing it!

Mr. Handy and I are going out on a cute date night tomorrow. Though this is not a milestone, its something I've been looking forward to all week. We've both been busy running around and as he says, 'handling it'. I like the busy-ness, but it takes a huge toll out of both of us. Can't wait!

Have a happy weekend!
