Handmade Holiday Wrap-Up

/ Thursday, December 30, 2010

I didn't make too many handmade things this year --- but I made sure what I did make was well thought out. I would hate to start something and not finish. I started off with camera straps for my cousins, Richelle & Emma, and a half apron for Marlaina. I also sewed a "Happy Birthday" banner for my sister with Christmas themed paper and ribbon. I heart it:

And then there was Trish's Anthropologie-inspired apron... Trish picked out the fabric and gave me creative freedom. It was so exciting to see it come together... the pleated pocket, the bows, and the long tie in the back. I had to measure it against myself and the adjust for Trish's height (she's about 2 inches taller than me).

I can't wait for her to use it... she's taking her cooking class next month. I am also thinking about making one for myself - we'll see - and I'll try to put a tutorial together. Yay! Did you make anything handmade for the holidays??? If so, send me a picture! I'd love to see it!
