I attended Anna and Jacob's wedding last Friday... it was such a beautiful event. I witnessed my friends vow to each other their forever. It was sincere, sweet, and simple. A family friend photographed their wedding. So, I grabbed my backup camera and my 35mm to capture the event from the sidelines. I loved it - the opportunity to sit back and enjoy it all. The sap I am, I teared up a little bit during Jacob's speech... especially when he mentioned his father who passed away when he was younger. He was there that day, too, just in a different way.
Anna & Jacob, congratulations. I can't wait to see how you guys are ten years, twenty years, thirty years from now. I am truly blessed to have you both in my life. Oh, and Zizou & Bubba, too. Here are a few shots I took straight out of the camera --- well, except for two - I couldn't help but make them black and white.
Scene: having pre-ceremony cocktails. Jacob said, "Let's do this. I'm ready. Nah, not turning around. I want to get married already and party." Love it!
Here comes the bride!
The vows... the kiss... and my favorite, the exit -
The first dance and some party photos... we know how to get down!
My favorite shot...
And, a few more...
