When my dad passed away, my whole life changed and I took a week off from my training season. I showed up for a training run the following week. I surprised some of my team, my coaches, and myself, really. I needed to do it - for my dad. A month of training went by and it hit me... like a ton of bricks. 13.1 miles of bricks. Plus leading my awesome team. Plus a recurring injury. Oy. But, I NEEDED to do it. This determination to complete it pushed me along. Also, the feeling he was watching proudly over me. It was worth it. Here are a few pictures from the expo:
Oh, yah, we did this one too in the beginning of the year...
On to the next... TINKERBELL HALF MARATHON!
And, yes, we decided to do the Princess Half Marathon in Florida next year - thanks for convincing me, Trish! Oh, Cindy striking a pose of us signing up... classic!
My team & my coach are friggin' awesome... AND, my coach, David Levine, has his own book! Click here to purchase your own!
Until the next half!
