What a whirlwind week it's been! It's nice to have a weekend with a change of pace... a fun engagement session is lined up for today & loads of laundry to finish.
Monday was spent with two amazing friends at Katsuya. It was my first time there and I was excited. It was also Marcy's first time trying sushi... yes, FIRST TIME. I felt like a proud mama. The verdict? Delish! On Tuesday, Paul & I conquered Argentinian food --- well, kinda. I made my first chimichurri sauce to go on the rib eye steaks he grilled. OHHHH YUMMY! The flavors and aroma were amazing! I wanted to dip it in everything! We both agreed - this would go in our dinner selection rotation.
The 2nd part of Twilight - Breaking Dawn is coming out in November. Yes, I've read the books and have seen each of the movies... so when the movie trailer came out this last Wednesday and I passed by this magazine, I tried my best to hold in the little girlie shriek. I was apprehensive at first... my best friend had to reel me in to read the saga, but I'm glad he did. It's one of those guilty pleasures and the movie is going to be EPIC.
Been thinking of this motto lately and on Thursday, I had to keep reminding myself of it. I'm not sure what the next year holds and it worries me sometimes. A lot has changed in my life the past 9 months and keeping my head above water has become more challenging. It's pretty easy to get caught up in the grind and it's easy to forget the bigger picture. Reminding myself that it's ok to step back and relax is comforting.
Training season is among us! July marks the beginning of a year long running frenzy... 7am morning Saturday runs & tracking about 20-30 miles per week. I'm glad this time has come though. I still workout 4-5 times during the week but it feels good to be able to hit the pavement a little harder. One sad thing to note... changing the diet. Eating cleaner. I lose about 10 pounds every season. This season, with the help of my fitness pal, I hope to not only lose more weight but gain more strength and lean muscle mass through strength training and eating cleaner. We'll see how it goes.
How was your week?
